Comfort

Giving birth to a baby is hard work. However, the real work begins when you bring your precious little bundle home. Sometimes it's easy to comfort your baby with nursing or changing his diaper. Other times it's not so easy to determine what he needs or wants. His cries melt your heart and make you anxious--when he is sick, teething or following his first shots. The more time you spend with him, the easier it will become to know what he needs.

God wants the same for you. He knows and cares for you. He knows when you hurt. He knows your thoughts. Check out these verses in Psalm 139:

  1. O Lord, You have searched me and know me.
  2. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thougts from afar off.
  3. You comprehend my path and my lying dow, and are acquainted with all my ways.

God knows when you are in despair and hears your cries for help. He wants to comfort you. As a shepherd gathers a lamb in his arms and carries him close to his heart, God want to comfort you. He will lead you along right paths. Say the name of Jesus and know He is with you. It is comforting to know the One who knows you best loves you most.

Prayer: O Lord, thank you that you know me and love me. Thank you for blessing me with this baby and help me to know what he needs. Teach me to be a good mother. In Christ Jesus, Amen.
